Welcome to The Spa Facilities @ The Firs Suffolk.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please read and follow the information below. By using any spa facilities, you agree to these conditions.

1. WOOD-FIRED HOT TUBS
General Use & Safety
-
The hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled with fresh water before each set of guests.
-
Please shower before entering and after using the hot tub.
-
Do not submerge your head or allow water into your mouth.
-
Never use the tub alone.
-
Enter and exit slowly—surfaces may be slippery.
Temperature & Operation
-
This is a wood-fired hot tub — parts of it will get extremely hot.
-
Use only the firewood provided, and the heat-proof glove when adding logs.
-
The flue and firebox must never be touched while the stove is lit.
-
Heating takes approximately 2 hours. Keep the fire topped up during heating.
-
There is no thermostat — please ensure the water does not exceed 40°C.
-
Ideal temperature: 30–39°C.
-
If overheated, allow the tub to cool before entering.
Chemicals & Water Quality
-
The hot tub may contain chlorine or bromine.
-
If you are allergic to either, do not enter the tub.
-
Fake tan, lotions and oils will disrupt water quality and may cause damage, resulting in additional charges.
Do Not Tamper
-
Do not adjust any settings, switches or electricals.
-
If tampering results in damage, or requires the tub to be drained/refilled, charges will apply.
-
Never turn off the isolation switch — it is required for cleaning cycles.
