How a Milestone Birthday Works at The Firs Now
How a Milestone Birthday Works at The Firs Now
The lodge can be ready before you arrive: flowers cut that morning, a cake baked here, the hot tub already hot. You open the door and it has been done.
Suffolk has plenty of good venues for a 40th or 50th birthday weekend, and we've written about several of them elsewhere. This isn't that piece. This is about a specific thing we've built for exactly this occasion — three ready-made celebration packages, designed so that whoever's turning 40 doesn't spend the morning of their own birthday setting up decorations.
The three packages
The Firs Welcome — £75
Fresh seasonal flowers. Two fairy cakes, baked here by Natalie. A chilled bottle of Prosecco, or an alcohol-free sparkling if you'd rather. A handwritten card with whatever you'd like it to say. The lodge styled for the occasion.
The Firs Evening — £145
Everything in The Firs Welcome, and the hot tub lit and up to temperature for the moment you arrive. Chocolates. A s'mores kit for the firepit, once it's properly dark.
The Firs Occasion — £245
Everything in The Firs Evening, and two hours of the Piggery Spa sauna to yourselves. A mini celebration cake for two, baked here. And a bottle of Flint, made in Norfolk, in place of the Prosecco.
Each package is priced per lodge, for two guests. Add £15 per additional guest in The Stables or The Bushel, our two four-person lodges.
For a birthday weekend with the whole group
A 40th or 50th is rarely just the two of you. If you're taking the whole site — up to 16 people across all six lodges — the person whose birthday it is can have their own lodge set up with The Firs Occasion, while everyone else arrives to lodges as normal. It's a good way to mark the occasion properly without turning the whole weekend into a production.
For the group side of things — whole-site pricing, catering for sixteen, what to do about food across three days — our group stays guide covers it properly.
How to order
We need seven days' notice. Everything is made or cut here — the flowers on the morning of your arrival, the cake with proper time to bake it — so we can't do this last-minute, and we'd rather be upfront about that than disappoint you on the day.
Email info@thefirssuffolk.co.uk with your lodge, your dates, and what you're marking. Let us know about any dietary requirements for the cake at the same time.
FAQ
Can we order a package for someone else's stay, as a gift?
Yes. Let us know it's a gift when you email, and we'll handle the card and the styling without giving anything away in advance.
What if we book with less than seven days' notice?
Email us anyway. We may still be able to manage the flowers and a bottle of something, even if the cake isn't possible in time.
Can we adjust what's in a package?
Within reason, yes — tell us what you have in mind when you order.
