Day Visitor Sauna Hire at The Firs: What's Included
Updated: Oct 12
You don't need to be staying at The Firs to use the Piggery Spa. From November, day visitors can book a seat in a community session, sharing the electric sauna and gas-heated hot tub with a small group.
What is in the Piggery Spa
An electric sauna, with sauna hats provided
A gas-heated hot tub, ready when you arrive
A plunge bucket for the hot-cold contrast
A warm outdoor shower and an indoor shower
A toilet and changing space
Wild swimming in the moat, at your own risk and never alone
Day visitors use a separate entrance. Sessions are self-led, with no host, so you set the pace.
Community sessions for day visitors
Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 12.00pm
Wednesday to Sunday, 12.30 to 2.00pm
Each session is 90 minutes with six seats. Day visitors leave site by 2pm, and there are no day visitor sessions on Mondays or Tuesdays for now.
Prices

FAQ
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Email us with the date and the session you would like, so we can hold your seat.
Is the sauna suitable for people who have never used one?
Yes. It is electric, so it heats predictably. Sessions are self-led, and a short induction video covers how to use everything.
Can I combine a session with wild swimming?
The moat is open for wild swimming, entirely at your own risk. Please never swim alone.
